About the Role: As an Electrical / Fire & Security Engineer, you’ll be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in commercial environments. This position offers a unique opportunity for electricians eager to expand their expertise into fire and security systems with training and hands-on experience provided by the company. You will work on a variety of projects, ensuring the safety and reliability of electrical installations across a range of commercial facilities. Key Responsibilities: * Install, inspect, and maintain electrical systems, including lighting, power distribution, and control systems. * Diagnose and repair electrical faults to minimise downtime. * Ensure all installations comply with electrical regulations (BS7671) and safety standards. * Perform testing and certification of electrical installations. * Collaborate with project teams to ensure smooth project delivery. * Maintain detailed job documentation and reports. * Supervise apprentices and junior team members where needed. * Recommend system upgrades for energy efficiency and performance improvements. * Provide exceptional customer service and maintain strong client relationships. Required Skills & Qualifications: * NVQ Level 3 (2365) in Electrical Installation or equivalent. * 18th Edition Certification with a strong knowledge of BS7671 wiring regulations. * Proven experience (3-5 years) in commercial or industrial electrical installations. * City & Guilds 2391 Testing & Inspection (preferred but not essential). * Full UK Driving Licence. * Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. * Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with clients and colleagues. * Ability to work from electrical drawings and blueprints. Desirable Skills (Not Essential): * Knowledge of fire systems (Kentec, Advanced, Morley). * Experience with security systems (Texecom, Galaxy Grade 2 & 3). * Understanding of access control systems (Paxton, HID). * Knowledge of CCTV (analogue and IP). * Experience with fire safety and maintenance procedures.
