Job Title: Electrical Design Engineer (Building Services) Location: Belfast Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 per annum Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent Working Hours: Monday to Friday About the Role: We are currently seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer with a strong background in building services to join our team in Belfast. This role will focus on the design of electrical systems for a variety of building projects. If you have a qualification in building services, that's a big plus! You will be involved in designing, developing, and implementing electrical systems to ensure compliance with industry standards and client specifications. Key Responsibilities: Design and develop electrical systems for building services projects, ensuring designs meet regulatory requirements and client needs. Collaborate with other engineers and departments to deliver integrated solutions for each project. Produce detailed design drawings, specifications, and documentation using design software such as AutoCAD. Provide technical input and support throughout the project lifecycle, from initial concept through to final handover. Conduct feasibility studies and site surveys to ensure designs are tailored to specific project requirements. Liaise with clients, contractors, and external consultants to ensure project goals are met within budget and time constraints. Keep up to date with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes related to electrical systems and building services. Ensure that all electrical designs are compliant with health and safety standards and industry regulations. About You: Proven experience in electrical design within the building services sector. Ideally, a qualification in Building Services Engineering or a related discipline. Strong understanding of electrical systems design, including lighting, power distribution, and energy efficiency. Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD and other industry-related tools. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams. Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. Familiarity with relevant regulations and standards for electrical systems in building services.
