Main Duties & Objectives:
HB Recruit are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and passionate heating designer. The ideal candidate will have at least 4 years’ experience designing and leading the installation of heating systems in a range of properties.
* You will have experience of designing projects from concept ‘as design’ and unbuilt developments to retrofitting installations on both domestic and commercial ASHP and HVAC installations.
* You will be experienced and comfortable with both the electric and heating/mechanical aspects of the installation and you will hold relevant industry qualifications.
* You will join a team of individuals passionate about renewable energy.
* You will be responsible for the whole lifecycle of each of your projects from full design through to assisting with specification and sign off of each installation.
* You will be required to carry out site visits and surveys for prospective installations of domestic and commercial installations as required.
* You will be familiar with a range of technology manufacturers.
* Your day to day work will be designing and signing off ASHP installations and as such you will be proficient performing full heat loss calculations
* You will be responsible for the production of tender, pricing and design packages.
* You will have experience and working knowledge of dealing with District Network Operators.
* You will be comfortable working alone as well as a team and will be reporting directly to senior management.
Skills / Qualifications:
* Heat Geek Certification
* Electrical or mechanical engineering degree or significant heating design and installation experience
* 4+ years in the design installation and specification of domestic and commercial ASHP and HVAC systems
* Proficient using heat loss calculation software
* Experience with CHP, boilers, Solar PV, gas and battery storage desirable
