Job Description What's In It For You Competitive salary This role is Belfast based but we operate on a hybrid workingenvironment Flexible working hours Annual Salary Reviews Pension Private medical insurance Dental plan Life assurance Income protection & Critical illness Purpose of the Job Reporting to the Infrastructure Manager, the Technical Engineer will be part of the team responsible for the global IT End-User Computing across the globe. The core responsibility of this role holder is to create, maintain and update desktop images and application deployments using Microsoft Intune. The role holder will have experience in scripting desktop builds using Windows 10/11 and integrating industry standard security and VPN solutions. The Technical engineer will lead the desktop delivery team and will mentor junior team members. Main Responsibilities Intune infrastructure design, setup and maintenance Intune device management and maintenance Create and maintain desktop deployments Application packaging Keeping comprehensive change logs for software updates 3rd line support for Intune and applications. Troubleshooting desktop, application and performance related issues. Use monitoring tools to identify potential issues before they become user affecting. Maintain a consistent user experience across Intune published desktops Deployment of server and desktop security updates Take part in Ocorian on-call rota Participate in the technical aspects of business acquisition tasks involving office integration, data migration and application consolidation. Play a key role in the maintenance of Ocorian's global IT environment. Work in a risk adverse manner and in accordance with Ocorian security policies. Monitoring of Ocorian systems. #nijobs Qualifications Required Experience in deploying and maintaining Intune deployments In-depth knowledge of Windows 10/11 and Server 2019/2022 and their deployment methods Experience with Azure Active Directory and Office 365 Strong Powershell and scripting skills Knowledge of Microsoft AoVPN and other industry standard corporate VPN solutions. Understanding of networking protocols and Cisco networking products. Experience in deploying and maintaining Citrix virtual apps and desktops infrastructures would also be beneficial The Ideal Candidate Will Have: Current working knowledge of Microsoft Intune Experience in scripted desktop deployments. Experience in application packaging/scripting.
