Electrical Maintenance Engineer

We have an amazing opportunity for Electrical Engineer to join our client's business in Barnsley on a 6-month contract. Your role as a electrical engineer will be to resolve breakdowns on the lines, carry out fault diagnosis, first line repairs and maintenance. This vacancy would suit an Engineer with a electrical bias, other job titles that would be considered; Line Maintenance Engineer / Electrical Maintenance Technician / Electrical Fitter / Maintenance Technician / Line Fitter / Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer / Dual Skilled Engineer / Multi Skilled Engineer (Mechanical not essential). Salary and hours of work: * £20 - £25 per hour (Ltd company or Umbrella) * The shift pattern is a 3 -shift rotational rota (Days, Nights and After's) * 8 hour shifts * 36 hour week or 42 hour week available (salary is higher with more hours). The Role: * Resolve operational problems on the lines, carry out fault diagnosis, and first line repairs, as well as operating the machinery. * Carry out maintenance and breakdowns on various production machinery * Complete relevant company documentation. * Understand the equipment, processes, and key performance indicators. Requirements: * NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, or Apprentice trained / time-served Mechanical Engineer. * Experience in a FMCG (Fast Moving Consumer Goods) manufacturing / production / factory environment is preferred. * You will need to demonstrate you care about delivering high quality products at all times. * You will have a good understanding of Good Manufacturing Principles. * You will be able to demonstrate ownership, high levels of results focus and strong communication skills.
