MTrec’s new career opportunity MTrec Technical is pleased to be serving our esteemed manufacturing client, based in North Yorkshire seeking a permanent Site Engineering Specialist to support the engineering and operations department with significant breakdowns, projects and modifications and be the super user and go to person for all aspects of engineering. The Job you’ll do * To lead significant breakdowns in your work area through to completion, including identifying and eradicating root causes * To lead assist and advise on small to medium scale projects with the shift engineering and operational teams. * To deliver large projects individually or working as part of a multi-functional team. * Work with the maintenance planner to develop planned maintenance systems for plant within your specialist areas. * To diagnose faults where required and assist and lead breakdowns where your skill set is required. * Working alongside the Engineering Manager, Develop, lead and complete projects to improve your given area based on top loss. * Develop maintenance plans to eradicate root causes of breakdowns or issues. * To plan and manage your day-to-day duties, issues and projects to ensure timescales are agreed and met when necessary. * To develop other capable engineers and apprentices in your specialist field, to ensure the site has the ability to fault diagnose at all times when operational. * Production output will always be prioritised, and you may be asked to perform various tasks, breakdowns or compliance issues, to ensure continuation of production. * Any other duty which may be deemed necessary to meet the needs of the business. About You * Good leadership skills * Excellent communication skills. * Competent in Excel, Word etc. * Engineering background and experience. * Organised and logical approach to work. * Multi skilled background in maintenance engineering. * Ability to interact with external support. * Attention to detail. * Ability to work unsupervised. * Ability to problem solve. * Flexibility on working hours and duties
