Front End Tech Lead – FinTech PaaS – Realtime UIs - London – £160,000 Comp We have partnered with a pioneer in the “trading as a service” world, who serve an illustrious list of hedge funds, banks, asset managers and prop trading houses globally. They have invested £10million in the build out of a completely new flagship UI, focusing on serving slick, realtime UIs to traders and PMs. You will be working with the latest version of React.JS, using Agile engineering best practises (TDD, pair programming) to deliver beautifully engineered software. As a tech lead, you’ll be instrumental in designing and building this new system from the ground up, working alongside senior business stakeholders including the head of engineering and head of trading. Whilst finance experience isn’t necessary, you should be comfortable building realtime UIs in React and deploying to a public cloud environment. Requirements: 5 years’ commercial React engineering experience with JavaScript/TypeScript. Experience building enterprise-scale UIs to serve several-hundred end users. Agile engineering mindset: proponent of best practises including TDD, pair programming etc. Desirable: Experience working in a public cloud (AWS, GCP, Azure). Background designing highly reactive, realtime UIs. Senior stakeholder management. Understanding of computer science fundamentals. Benefits: Market leading pension scheme.
