Global IT Services organisation is hiring for a DB2 Database Engineer for their team based in Hertfordshire. This is a permanent role and require you to be on-site full time, offering a salary of £50K - £60K + Benefits. SC Clearance is essential for this role. Responsibilities include: - Administration and continuous monitoring of DB2 databases. - Optimization of database performance. - Contribute to the design and deployment of database storage structures, backup systems, and security frameworks. - Implementation and management of database policies and procedures to secure database integrity and availability. - Troubleshooting database issues and providing timely resolutions. - Patching and upgrades of DB systems. - Manage database backups and disaster recovery procedures using Cohesity. Key Skills and Experience - Deep knowledge and proven work experience in database management technologies - Proficient with VMWare and virtualisation environment - Scripting skills in PowerShell, Python, Bash for automation and database task management - Familiarity with both Windows Server and Unix / Linux operating systems Please apply for immediate interview!
