Howdens Joinery are looking for an experienced Digital Developer to join our intelligent digital development team.
What you will be doing:
Based remotely, with some travel to our site in Raunds, Northamptonshire, you will build / maintain our website and internal systems and using your technical expertise help us see projects through from inception to delivery.
As a Digital Developer, you will be a great communicator and an effective trouble shooter, who has experience of working closely with stakeholders to understand their needs. You’ll be able to navigate changing priorities, break down explanations of complex processes and communicate cross-functionally with people from different levels of technical expertise within the organisation.
What we need from you:
• Minimum 3 years’ experience within C# .Net Development /Full-Stack Development and have worked on technical projects from inception through to delivery.
• .NET using C# 4.0 or higher
• .NET Core 1.0 or higher
• Visual Studio 2013 or higher
• Commercial experience using the MVC pattern
• Microsoft LINQ
• Relational databases like SQL Server or Oracle
• Front-End scripting (e.g. React, JavaScript, SASS, Angular JS)
• Educated to degree level in a computer science related discipline or equivalent experience.
• Database design, programming (SQL) and query optimisation
• Source control: TFS / GIT / VSTS
• Working on technical projects from inception through to delivery
• Good understanding of unit testing frameworks and test coverage (Experience of automated Testing using a variety of MS Test, xUnit, Jet Brains, Selenium and Moq would be useful)
• Demonstrable experience of object-oriented design patterns, code refactoring and awareness of SOLID principles
• Good exposure and understanding of Web services using Restful APIs
• Experience with .NET content management systems, preferably Sitecore
