The Role: So, what will you be doing as a Field Service Engineer? As a Marine Service Engineer, you will work independently or as part of a team to install, maintain, and repair a range of satellite communications and navigational equipment. * Conduct Annual Performance Tests (APTs) for Voyage Data Recorders (VDRs) * Perform radio equipment surveys * Install, repair, and maintain GMDSS (Global Maritime Distress and Safety System) equipment * Install, repair, and maintain marine navigational systems * Install, repair, and maintain VSAT (Very Small Aperture Terminal) satellite broadband systems * Participate in retrofit projects, including complete bridge installations and large-scale system integrations What are we looking for in our next Field Service Engineer? * HNC/ONC/NVQ Level or equivalent qualification * Preferred qualifications in IT or engineering * Valid driving license * Ability to pass a marine/offshore worker medical exam * Valid passport * Minimum 3 years of experience as a Marine Service Engineer * Strong knowledge of electronic and electrical engineering principles * GMDSS Radio Operator/Maintainer License is preferred This really is a fantastic opportunity for a Field Service Engineer to progress their career.
