Senior Cyber/Information Security Engineer : CISSP : London Hedge Fund : £200k

A leading global hedge fund are now on the urgent hunt for a Senior Cyber/Information Security Engineer to join it's growing team. Reporting directly to the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), your role will be to lead the design, implementation, and management of security solutions across the IT estate for both cloud and on-premise environments. As a key, senior contributor to the security team, you will be critical to how technology is used to protect the organization from cyber threats to it's infrastructure, applications and data. You will be tasked with providing technical leadership in security architecture, threat detection, vulnerability management, and incident response. This can related to external and internal cyber threats. To apply, you will need a strong understanding of modern security practices, technologies, and prior experience in interweaving cyber defence products, services and processes across all elements of the business. What you will do: Design, implementation and enhancement of global security architectures Build robust cyber defences for the company's cloud (AWS and some Azure) and on-prem infrastructure (Linux servers and Windows desktop/Microsoft 365) Own and enhance vulnerability management processes Optimize threat detection processes to provide proactive incident response and monitoring Report to senior leadership on security metrics and incidents Work with DevOps teams to roll-out security best practices into development pipelines/processes Police the company's security policies, procedures and standards, and work to ensure alignment with industry regulations What you will need: Good experience in security engineering - software applications, infrastructure and networks Knowledge of application security and a mixture of cloud/on-premise security Understanding of security frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001 and CIS Basic scripting experience for automation tooling...Python, Bash etc Experience of DevSecOps best practices Prior work with firewalls, IDS/IPS and SIEM Ideally industry certified - CISSP, CEH, CISM etc Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline Leadership skills Senior stakeholder experience This is an outstanding new position for someone to join a leading, growing hedge fund in the City.
