Job role: Maintenance Engineer
Salary: £40,000-£45,000PA (OTE £50,000+)
Location: Northampton, Northamptonshire
Hours: Monday – Friday / 40 hours pw days only

The Role
- · Minimise production downtime, by carrying out routine scheduled maintenance (PPMs) and respond to unplanned breakdowns with the stipulated timeframes.
- · Ensure that production operations maximise output and minimise downtime safely through regular planned maintenance.
- · Respond to unplanned breakdowns in a timely and effective manner, working alongside engineering and production colleagues to minimise disruption.
- · Optimise the performance and lifecycle of operational equipment with regular preventative maintenance, working with the Production team, to identify and understand causes of equipment wear and underperformance.
- · Diagnose and repair equipment breakdowns
- · Carry out all work according to Safe Systems of Work, Risk Assessments, SOPs, Dynamic Risk Assessments and company policies and procedures.
The Requirements
- · In depth understanding of fault finding/diagnostics on manufacturing machinery
- · Electrical & Mechanical Competencies
- · Relevant Electrical/Mechanical Qualifications (City & Guilds/NVQs) - Advantageous
- · Electrical bias - Advantageous
- · Experience of working in a fast paced production environment for a minimum of 2 years - Essential
