Cost Engineer

Driver Project Services, part Diales Plcoffer a full range of commercial management and planning services for both construction and civil engineering projects. The role: Driver Project Services are seeking an experienced Cost Engineer with a previous background in oil & gas, petrochemical and/or major construction projects to join our project teams in Liverpool. Key responsibilities will include: Responsible that all cost data is recorded, analysed and reported as per the approved procedures and guidance notes on behalf of the Project Manager. To consolidate and analyse all cost data and to brief the Project Manager on the cost status of the works. Responsible that the Cost Management database is maintained correctly and ensures that forecast and budgeted costs align with actual cost. Responsible for weekly and period reporting requirements are met. Production of monthly Applications for Payment. To participate in re-forecasts as required by the Project. To participate and manage the preparation of cost studies utilising historical data, statistical analysis and cost and quantity comparisons. To assist projects in identifying and assessing changes. To co-operate with in all matters relating to health and safety, always including following safe working procedures. Monitoring performance against the Target Cost. Key candidate criteria: Minimum 5 years cost engineering experience in the relevant sector (nuclear, process engineering, oil & gas or civil engineering). Scaffold Insulation & Painting experience preferred (but not essential) Target Cost Experience TPBN1_UKTJ
