The Role As a Principal Engineer, you’ll be the most senior technical individual contributor on the team, collaborating closely with the CTO. Your expertise will be critical in shaping the tech stack and solving high-level engineering challenges, with a focus on delivering a reliable, scalable platform. This is a unique opportunity to work on a platform that drives real-time decision-making, with large-scale, global impact. Key Responsibilities Architect and implement scalable microservices using Python, Rust, C++, TypeScript & React. Optimise system performance and reduce latency, working with technologies such as PostgreSQL, Redis, and Kafka. Lead the adoption of CI/CD practices and ensure system health with robust monitoring and alerting solutions. Mentor and guide engineering teams in best practices, driving continuous improvement and collaboration. Solve complex technical problems in areas like event-driven architecture and real-time distributed systems. What We’re Looking For Expertise in building scalable systems and driving architectural decisions across backend and frontend teams. Strong experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred), containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes), and infrastructure as code tools like Terraform. Proficiency in Python, C++, TypeScript, JavaScript/React, and experience with PostgreSQL and Redis. Experience with CI/CD pipelines, system monitoring (Grafana, Prometheus), and messaging systems like Kafka. Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams. Why Join Us?
