Mechanical Design Engineer or Graduate sought in Plymouth We are excited to be working with a well-respected and innovative design consultancy specializing in Building Services as they grow their engineering team in the South West. Our client is currently seeking a Graduate or Junior Mechanical Design Engineer with a background in Building Services design to join their dynamic team. Required to be possessing relevant degrees, however open to discussions with those holding equivalent M&E construction experience, authority, and varying qualifications or experience in M&E design.      Your new employer: Established 70+ years’ ago, our client is a renowned and decorated Design Consultancy working nationally. Specialising in all aspects of M&E, Public Health & Sustainable Design services. Daily Duties of a Mechanical Design Engineer: Collaborating with senior engineers and directors to deliver design projects Supporting the production of design deliverables, including drawings, specifications, and reports Assisting in design calculations and preparing detailed drawings that meet compliance and quality standards Participating in client meetings and presentations, gaining valuable client-facing experience Learning and developing proficiency in industry-standard design software such as IES, Revit, and Hevacomp    What you’ll need to succeed as a Mechanical Design Engineer: A relevant degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related field Interest or experience in Building Services design, with a strong desire to grow in this area Familiarity with design software such as IES, Revit, or Hevacomp is beneficial but not essential – training will be provided A proactive approach to learning and collaboration within multidisciplinary teams In return, we are offering an exciting prospect for the right individual to join an expanding team with this opportunity to progress and train, working with one of the most renowned M&E Design Consultancies in the country as a Design Engineer.
