Senior Engineer, Data Engineering

Role Description As a Data Engineer, you will design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines that support healthcare operations. Your work will involve managing large datasets, ensuring efficient data processing, and enabling healthcare professionals to access critical information for decision-making. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, analysts, and IT professionals, to support both real-time and batch data processing. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain data pipelines to support various healthcare-related data, including laboratory results, medical imaging data, and clinical metrics. Ensure the quality, integrity, and accessibility of data from multiple sources. Collaborate with data scientists to implement machine learning models and advanced analytics. Implement and monitor data processing workflows in cloud environments. Troubleshoot data-related issues and implement fixes to ensure system stability. Support compliance with healthcare data regulations and security standards (GDPR, HIPAA). Technical Skills Required Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, and data modelling. Experience with ETL tools and cloud-based platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure). Familiarity with healthcare data formats (HL7, FHIR) and large-scale databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, NoSQL). Experience in data warehousing and real-time data processing. Soft Skills Required Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication skills for cross-team collaboration.
