Agent Engineer – Airport Project (London)

Protecnium ( protecnium.com/es ) is an international consulting firm specializing in engineering and technical services in construction. We are currently seeking a Agent Engineer for an airport rehabilitation for one of our clients in London. Estimated length of the position: 36-48 months. In general, when the project ends, we try to place the employee in other projects to give him/her continuity. Contract: UK PAYE Shifts: Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm (30-minute break) or 9 am to 6 pm. Some flexibility for occasional night or weekend shifts (overtime pay provided). Key Responsibilities: Leadership and Oversight: Serve as the primary point of contact for subcontractors, consolidating project work, and providing leadership when the project manager is unavailable. Long-Term Planning: Monitor project scope with a 1-2 year outlook, proactively addressing potential challenges. Stakeholder and Subcontractor Management: Oversee subcontractor performance, ensuring safety, cost-efficiency, and adherence to project timelines. Budget and Cost Management: Promote resource-efficient management, setting up and monitoring a program-based cost management system for accurate budgeting and financial control. Client and Team Relations: Maintain productive relationships with clients, project management, and the supply chain, fostering communication and collaboration. Project Scheduling and Monitoring: Ensure that project schedules are realistic, managed, monitored, and updated as needed. Seek input from relevant specialists (legal, commercial, H&S) as required. Qualifications and Skills Required: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field (minimum 2:1 degree). 2 years of experience in heavy civil construction in UK. Certifications: H&S Awareness, CSCS Card, SSSTS, SMSTS. Proven ability to lead and manage teams effectively, especially on complex projects with tight timelines and controlled resources. Extensive knowledge of construction techniques, quality control practices, and forms of contracts used in civil projects.
