Job Role: Process Commissioning Engineer
Location: Dorset
Salary: (Apply online only) / day (Inside IR35)
About the role:
Our client in the water sector is actively seeking an experienced Wastewater Process Commissioning Engineer for an immediate opening. The successful candidate will be based on-site in Dorset, working closely with Mechanical, Electrical, and Civil Engineers to deliver the process commissioning of a wastewater treatment scheme.
Key responsibilities include:
- Collaborating with the site team to define and agree on methodologies for site activities.
- Leading the commissioning process for wastewater treatment plants to ensure project success.
- Liaising with Operations teams to raise and manage Process Risk Assessments.
- Undertaking software testing alongside the automation engineer to ensure system performance.
- Developing training materials and conducting training sessions for staff and operators.
- Providing regular project updates through weekly progress reports.
- Attending and contributing to progress and commissioning meetings to ensure the project stays on track.
- Preparing all required documentation for the project Takeover phase.
- Supporting other team members where time permits.
About you:
- Proven experience in wastewater process commissioning.
- Strong knowledge of Mechanical, Electrical, and Civil aspects of wastewater schemes.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to lead commissioning meetings.
- Experience in process risk assessments and producing detailed documentation.
- Competence in software testing alongside automation engineers.
- Ability to develop and deliver training programs effectively.
