We are currently seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer Hybrid OBD to join our client’s team, a world-renowned luxury car manufacturer. The successful candidate will enable the production of in-house and outsourced powertrain software, hardware and calibrations for future Hybrid and Electric powertrain families delivering a concept Hybrid platform. The Project Engineer Hybrid OBD will: Manage and support powertrain software and calibration activity on defined projects, assimilate and distribute knowledge within the wider team. Ensure Hybrid OBD requirements are agreed and verified in-line with the system design specification. Deliver an understanding of the role OBD plays within the hybrid vehicle platform to the wider OBD team. Guide, direct and train to develop wider Powertrain and SW&ET team members. Prepare reports of all findings from Test bed, rig, Vehicle testing and environmental testing of the vehicle, and present these to all levels up to director technical meetings. Manage the progress and reporting for all Hybrid concept deliverables, ensuring they meet all cost, time and quality targets. Lead and Manage OBD activity within the Hybrid Concept team on defined vehicle programmes as defined by Head of Hybrid Concept and in line with Global Regulatory requirements. The Project Engineer Hybrid OBD will have: Degree level Mechanical Engineering or related discipline. Recent direct experience of Hybrid On-Board Diagnostics and application of new technologies including Hybrid & BEV vehicles. Robust experience in Senior Engineer position within an automotive vehicle manufacturer or Consultancy with direct knowledge of On-Board diagnostics and experience of delivery of calibration of gasoline engines on test bed and in vehicle to meet legislative requirements. Ability to go-and-get information themselves to define detail task requirements and measures of success. Strong communication skills with experience working across multiple disciplines and delivering to tight deadlines.
