The Company
A leading manufacturer is seeking an experienced Design Engineer to join its team.
The Role As a Design Engineer, you’ll be an integral part of the engineering team, contributing to the New Product Development (NPD) department by creating innovative new products and improving the existing product range. This role provides a balance of independent innovation and collaborative support, allowing you to work autonomously while benefiting from a strong team network. Creativity, problem-solving, and a focus on continuous improvement will be essential in this position.
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Engineer to enhance technical skills and gain hands-on product design experience within a knowledgeable engineering team
Key Responsibilities
Conduct research and develop innovative product ideas and design methods.
Enhance existing products and refine processes to improve efficiency and quality.
Design new products and make adjustments to existing ones using SolidWorks within a PDM environment.
Prepare and maintain accurate 2D drawings, BOMs, ECRs, and comprehensive engineering documentation.
Support project management efforts throughout the entire design life cycle.
Perform FEA using SolidWorks simulation and generate detailed reports.
Create high-quality product renders and animations for marketing use.
Ensure all designs comply with industry safety standards and regulations
The Candidate Experience in a mechanical engineering design environment.
Strong 3D design software experience.
Strong communication skills.
Ability to meet demanding project deadlines, with examples of past achievements.
Comfortable working independently when necessary.
The Package The salary for this position is £30,000–£40,000 for candidates who meet all key qualifications and competencies.
