Test Engineer

Test Engineer (ICE & Hybrid) MillTechs client is growing again and looking to recruit a Test Engineer to join the projects team in Milton Keynes. They are looking to recruit Test Engineers on a permanent basis due to the consistently high project demands on the team. Your role as the Test Engineer will include: * Responsible for engine and component test programs for external customers and ensure projects conform to customer standards and health and safety procedures * Produce clear and concise test instructions * Use of suitable functional or analytical tools, including hand calculations where appropriate, to optimise the design of major systems * Provide adequate information on the objectives of the project to the test technicians and other personnel involved * Ensure all test bed instrumentation used is calibrated in line with company procedures * Ensure that the data generated meets the requirements of the project, prepare data in line with customer requirements and verify all test results before passing them to the customer * Work closely with the business and technical teams in working closely with clients To succeed in this position you will need the following experience and background: * Extensive experience in an automotive test bed environment at a minimum of test engineer level * Solid understanding of test boundary condition control and checking * Experience of system engineering process and validation / verification methods to de-risk a program * Working knowledge of ETAS INCA or alternative engine calibration tools and software * Technical experience with functional or analytical tools such as MATLAB and Excel * Degree educated in an Engineering discipline This company has been consistently growing and has doubled the size of their team over the past five years.
