Electrical Design and Process Owner

Our client is currently looking for a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join their highly successful and collaborative team. You will be responsible for business compliance, developing new electrical concepts, working closely with the operations team and recommending solutions and implementing changes.
The role is well suited to someone who wants to develop their design and engineering knowledge and grow within a reputed business.
Senior Electrical Design Engineer role & responsibilities:

• You will monitor changes relevant to BS7671 standards
• Issuing technical amendments
• Continuous improvement projects
• Cost reduction projects
• Investigate noncompliance issues reported internally and externally
• analysing root cause and recommending changes
• Work closely with the design teams to ensure electrical installations are compliant
• Ensure drawings and BOMs are produced
• Working with the senior production electricians
• Supporting DFM and new product Introductions
• Support internal and external compliance audits
• Supervising and mentoring

This position is well suited to someone who:

• 18th Edition
• HNC/HND Level 4 Electrical or Electronic Engineering
• Has previous experience working within manufacturing, modular or caravan industry
• Knowledge of H&S
• Good communication skills – ideally previous experience liaising with both internal stakeholders and customers as part of your work
• Experience of mentoring a team
