Senior Design Engineer

Senior Design Engineer (Mechanical/ Sheet Metal) Plymouth £50,250 + 25 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays + Life Assurance 3x Annual Salary + Pension 5% Matched + Company bonus based on attendance, productivity, and quality + Company discount scheme and Westfield health. Monday to Friday, 39 hours per week (Flexible working, core hours to be covered). Core Hours: 9am – 3pm Mon-Thurs and 9am – 2pm on Friday. Senior Design Engineer required for a highly successful manufacturer offering ongoing career development. The Senior Design Engineer Role: Designing and developing new products: primarily mechanical and sheet metal design work.          Using Creo & Windchill or Autodesk Inventor and Vault.          Use of Design tools such as DFMEA and six sigma tolerance analysis.          Participation and Lead Design Reviews.          Direct customer engagement, establishing needs and updating them on their projects. The Successful Design Engineer: Working closely with customers, and experience of managing projects.          Responsible for mechanical aspects of design, including static load, dynamic load and vibration.          Experience of working from customer specifications, as well as creating designs from scratch.          Hold a higher form of education / qualification relating to mechanical engineering, preferably a Degree or equivalent
