Gas Engineer

Our client is seeking an experienced Gas Engineer to complete repairs, planned maintenance, and installations across the Stoke on Trent region. This role will be dealing with a variety of projects from minor jobs to larger installation projects. The Gas Engineer will have proven experience within a similar role and also be fully conversant with all health & safety and manual handling procedures. This Gas Engineer role will require a customer-orientated individual who is a great people person. Job Description for the Gas Engineer role: Visiting properties within the local area to perform planned maintenance, general installations, and call-out work. Planning work to identify all appropriate equipment, material and access requirements Applying judgment to all situations including whether the work is a repair or a full replacement General maintenance works that would be associated with the repairs such as boarding or replacing hardware in association with completing a project. Demonstrating a flexible approach to work to achieve wherever possible a single visit completion (including from time-to-time activities that are outside of the core trade activity – see general skilling above) Completing all necessary documentation Communicating with customers & colleagues to ensure excellent service delivery Checking property conditions when undertaking jobs and reporting back appropriately including in relation to potential customer recharges To be on call out on a planned rota (once every 8 weeks) Assessing job requirements including taking dimensions, organising materials, plant, tools, and equipment, and carrying out testing procedures To carry out pre-and Post Inspections as directed by your line manager Candidate Requirements for the Gas Engineer role: ACS Certification Ideally CCN1, CENWAT, CKR1, CPA1, HTR1 qualifications Proven experience as a Gas engineer – time service apprenticeship – min 2 years Customer service experience GCSE in Maths & English C grade or above would be desirable Someone who has good time management experience Flexible individual Full driving licence (cannot accept candidates with more than 6 points) To be able to pass a DBS Hours: Monday - Friday 39 hours Salary: £41,862 Per Annum + Call Out Bonuses &Company Vehicle Brampton Recruitment are an independent Commercial and Accounts & Finance recruitment agency working in partnership with employers spanning Stoke on Trent, Staffordshire, Cheshire, and the Greater Manchester region.
