Job Requirements / Description
Responsibilities Oversee the preparation and maintenance of operating budgets, local accounting, and reconciliation mechanisms. Ensure all accounting activities and internal audits adhere to relevant financial regulations. Manage and monitor the company's cash flow, ensuring appropriate treasury controls are in place. Develop and execute a comprehensive financial strategy to support business growth objectives and regulatory requirements. Continuously review and enhance the existing stress testing methodology and scenarios to meet the evolving needs of the operations, as well as external regulatory requirements. Manage the preparation and filing of all required financial statements, tax returns, and regulatory reporting. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial forecasting and reporting. Conduct profit and cost analyses, identify funding needs and cost optimization strategies. Oversee and maintain the company's banking relationships. Qualifications Ideally 6 years within the financial services industry, particularly in regulated environments. Deep understanding of cash flow management, financial reconciliations, and comprehensive bookkeeping practices tailored to the UK market. Proven expertise in developing and implementing budgets, risk management frameworks, data-driven analysis, and forecasting models specifically for the UK business landscape. Thorough knowledge of the regulatory landscape and compliance requirements relevant to financial institutions operating in the UK. Proficient in utilizing specialized accounting software and data analytics tools. Comprehensive familiarity with the financial services sector and FinTech products/operations, with a strong focus on the UK market dynamics. Track record of working efficiently in a complex, international, and cross-functional environment serving the specific needs of the UK market. Bachelor degree of accounting, finance, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience. Professional certifications (e.g., CFA, CPA, ACA, ACCA) will be considered as an advantage.
