Battery Field Service Engineer

My client is looking for a Battery Engineer / Field Service Engineer to complete work on a range of customer's sites. They are ideally looking for an experiened Battery Engineer, who is confident, with excellent communication and customer service skills. This is a permanent full-time position. Location: Reading - As this is a field service role, you can live upto 1 hour away from Reading Hours: Monday to Friday dayshift - 40 hour week with no call outs / weekends Salary: £28,000pa to £35,000pa DOE + overtime paid at x1.5 BENEFITS: * 25 days annual leave plus 8 public holidays * Company pension scheme * Company van * Company tablet, laptop & mobile phone KEY ACTIVITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES * Maintain and repair forklift batteries and charging equipment on customer sites * Liaise closely with Key Accounts and carry out repairs and services as required * Carry out battery topping, cleaning, and maintenance on customer premises * Shift covers for sickness & holiday support * Submit all job sheets and reports to head office on a weekly basis * Safely prepare equipment for transportation * Build up strong relationships with members of staff and customers * Work closely with the service department to plan and schedule jobs and prioritise urgent callouts QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS * Knowledge of forklift batteries & chargers is desirable but not essential * Background in Battery & Charger repairs & maintenance is desirable but not essential * Excellent communication skills within the company and externally with customers * Must hold Full UK Driving Licence, as company van will be provided * Ability to function as part of a team * Diligent and conscientious attitude with the ability to prioritise a busy workload * Ability to work unsupervised * Well organised, confident and professional Commutable from: Swindon, Bristol, Southampton, Slough, High Wycombe, Heathrow, Watford and surrounding areas.
