Automation Engineer - Commissioning & Programming - Automation & Robotics

Automation Engineer required to join a leading automation organisation based in Cambridge.

As the successful Automation Engineer you will be responsible for programming and implementing software as well as installing and commissioning machinery on customer sites. 40% of your time will be spent in the factory in Cambridge and the other 60% will be visiting customer sites.

The Package:

Salary - 50,000- 60,000

Working hours - flexible working 8am-5pm (Monday- Friday)

Company van - Can be used for private use

The Role:

  • Carry out full system commissioning - This can include software, mechanical and electrical work.
  • Carry out site installations.
  • Carry out software integrations.
  • Deliver customer training.
  • Assist with customer support visits.

Requirements:

  • Experience programming PLC's for automated machinery.
  • Experience crating electrical machinery designs.
  • Experience commissioning machinery.
  • Electrical training and qualification.
  • Robotic programming, ideally KUKA.
