Production Quality Engineer

Production Quality Engineer Wallingford Salary Dependent on Experience Our client are a leader within a niche industry within Engineering, they are currently recruiting for a Production Quality Engineer to join their growing team! Production Quality Engineer Roles and Responsibilities: * Provide effective quality control from goods inwards inspection through to the final inspection stage * Develop a strategic Goods Inwards QA Inspection process to ensure incoming materials meet drawings standards * Ensuring that the capture, reporting and resolution of all quality related non-conformities is undertaken in an efficient and timely manner * Maintaining and updating the company Quality Assurance database (NCR) with the overall target objective of reducing both internal and external non-conformities * Liaising with the supplier quality engineer and other stakeholders to communicate quality defects affecting production, with timely resolution * Feedback of quality data to production teams by means of regular meetings to include team leaders and supervisors, highlighting areas for improvement. * Provide information for quarterly reports on QA performance * Uphold Company HSE standards and involvement in on-site H&S audits * Ability to travel and visit suppliers and conduct both internal and external QA audits as required * Support in Final Inspection and moulding inspection as required The ideal Production Quality Engineer will: * Minimum of five years previous experience in similar QA role within a fast-moving production environment * Relevant business/commercial or manufacturing/engineering degree preferred, or ONC, A Levels, BTEC Diploma Level 4 or equivalent NVQ. Level 4 qualification * Problem solving skills such as 6S or 8D * Understanding and experience of robust QA / QMS procedures * Strong knowledge and application of FAIR, PPAP & FMEA * Knowledge of ISO9000 * Understanding of ISO14001 and Health and Safety practices * Understanding of engineering drawings and manufacturing process * Understanding of cost and financial impacts * Membership of professional body (advantageous) * Professional qualifications (advantageous) Jackie Kerr Recruitment is an independent agency that has been established for 27 years.
