Shift Maintenance Engineer

Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer Annual Salary: £46,000 + 10% shift premium Location: Maidstone Job Type: Full-time, permanent Shift: 4 on 4 offWe are seeking a Shift Engineer to join a long-standing and experienced engineering team in Maidstone. This role involves delivering high standards of engineering support and service to the business unit. The successful candidate will be innovative, continuously developing the department, and improving efficiencies from plant machinery while ensuring audit readiness year-round. Day-to-day of the Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer role: Assess breakdowns on production equipment and apply practical engineering skills to return the equipment to full working condition in a timely manner to reduce lost time and product waste. Ensure all assigned planned maintenance and inspections on plant equipment are completed, including required documentation, in a timely manner demonstrating a commitment to preventative maintenance. Complete all works and documentation to an audit-ready standard to comply with site rules and customer requirements. During plant shutdowns, assess required works ensuring all works are completed in an efficient and proactive manner. Required Skills & Qualifications of the Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer: Proven experience as a Shift Engineer or similar role, preferably in a manufacturing or technical environment. Strong practical engineering skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently. Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical staff. Leadership skills with the ability to manage time and team effectively, ensuring compliance with company policies and maintaining audit standards.
