As we continue to invest in the site with over £5m in state-of-the-art equipment, we are expanding our maintenance team to support our cutting-edge machinery and infrastructure. The Role:
We are seeking an Electrical Maintenance Engineer with a strong bias towards electrical systems and machine tool experience. This role offers the opportunity to support a range of equipment, from decades-old machines to brand-new CNC systems. If you have leadership skills and experience with Siemens or Fanuc systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform electrical maintenance on a variety of manual and CNC machines, including lathes, milling machines, grinding machines, and dynamic balancing equipment.
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain machines using Siemens and Fanuc operating systems.
- Work closely with the existing team to support machine installations, including new state-of-the-art machinery.
- Collaborate with the senior mechanical fitter and apprentice to ensure smooth operations across the site.
- Support site services, including gas, heating, and lighting systems as part of our ongoing infrastructure upgrades.
About You:
- Proven experience in maintaining and repairing heavy machinery, ideally with Siemens and Fanuc CNC systems.
- Experience working with a variety of machine tools, including both old and modern equipment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a small team.
- Leadership skills are highly desirable, with potential for progression into a more senior role.
- A commitment to contributing to the installation and commissioning of new equipment on-site.
