A globally renowned, market-leading technology OEM are looking to hire a Principal Embedded Software Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis. The primary function of this NPI-focussed role is to aid in the development of a high-tech range of new products and technologies.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing embedded firmware for high-tech products, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and efficiency.
  • Designing and implementing low-level drivers, components, and communication protocols for embedded systems in a multi-threaded, real-time environment.
  • Conducting thorough testing of embedded systems, identifying, and resolving software and hardware integration issues.
  • Working closely with the product development team to define software requirements, specifications, and system architecture.

To be considered for this position, candidates need to have proven experience in developing firmware on Linux in either embedded C++ or embedded C. In addition, it would be advantageous to hold a degree in software development, electronic engineering, or a similar field.
