My client, a specialist high precision component and machine manufacturer, have a fantastic opportunity for a CNC Horizontal Borer\Miller. Working on one off components, this role requires a confident engineer who has experience within a high precision environment.

The Job:
Set, Programme, and Edit programmes on a Horizontal Borer using Siemens or Heidenhain controls.
Production of bespoke components as per drawings
Competent with DNC software to upload/download programmes.
Confident to follow measuring output for exact adherence to specifications.
Inspection of own work using conventional measurement techniques, including micrometres both digital and manual, and diagnose any errors.
Confident CNC Miller/Borer with experience of vertical and horizontal boring
About you:
Experience of working within a metal cutting environment producing precision parts to tight tolerances
Experience of operating conventional milling and boring machines
Ability to read and understand technical drawings.
Confidence and the ability to work in a precision engineering environment and the ability to work on bespoke and one-off items.
Experience of CNC milling machines. Tooling and set-ups would be a distinct advantage.
Confidence of CNC controls would be an advantage.
