Design Engineer

Design Engineer Annual Salary: £40k - £50k Location: Sheffield Job Type: Full-timeWe are on the lookout for a skilled Design Engineer with a mechanical bias and a strong background in fabrication and engineering. The ideal candidate will be proficient in 2D AutoCAD, have experience with SolidWorks, and possess knowledge in pneumatics and NDT testing. An understanding of airflow in testing ovens would be highly beneficial. Day-to-day of the role: Design and draft mechanical systems using 2D AutoCAD and SolidWorks. Collaborate with the engineering team to refine product designs and processes. Perform NDT testing to ensure products meet industry standards. Apply expertise in pneumatics to the development of components. Oversee the fabrication process to ensure designs are accurately brought to life. Analyse and test prototypes and final products for quality assurance. Provide technical support throughout the product development lifecycle. Stay informed on industry trends and advancements in design engineering. Required Skills & Qualifications: Demonstrable experience as a Design Engineer, preferably with a mechanical focus. Proficiency in 2D AutoCAD and SolidWorks. Background in mechanical engineering, fabrication, and engineering principles. Experience with pneumatics and NDT testing is highly desirable. Knowledge of airflow and testing ovens is advantageous. Strong problem-solving abilities and meticulous attention to detail. Benefits: Competitive salary range of £40k - £50k.
