Suspension Engineer - Future BEV Platforms Location: Crewe Contract Length: Ongoing Outside IR35 Work Arrangement: Hybrid 60/40 – 37 hours per week. Potential for occasional international travel. Overview of the Role: Join the Suspension & Tyre Development Team responsible for delivering cutting-edge suspension technology during the transition to a fully electric-powered future. You will collaborate with the Functional Manager to deliver on ride comfort and noise performance. Using the latest technology in suspension components like airsprings, advanced dampers, bushes, and subframe mounts, your work will define the luxury experience of future vehicle models. Key Responsibilities: Project delivery for the validation of automotive parts, Plan, validate, and deliver suspension technologies that support business strategies. Develop and refine ride comfort and NVH performance using state-of-the-art components and systems. Hardware development and delivering physical parts for the vehicle. Collaborate with cross-functional teams and prestigious suppliers to meet product goals. Essential Skills and Qualifications: Strong problem-solving skills with the use of analytical and methodological approaches. Expertise in the design and development of suspension components and Chassis systems. Strong knowledge of metal & elastomeric components, material science, NVH, vehicle dynamics, and mechatronics. Ability to perform DFMEA reviews and manage validations for components and vehicles. Proficiency in verbal and written communication with the ability to influence and collaborate across departments. Preferred Experience: Proven track record within the automotive/engineering industry (mass-market/small volume OEMs, chassis suppliers, or motorsport industries). German language skills would be beneficial but not essential
