Mobile Maintenance Technician / Mechanical Engineer

COMMITTED AND SELF-MOTIVATED MECHANICAL MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN OR MECHANICAL ENGINEER TO UNDERTAKE REACTIVE AND PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE ROLE: Mobile Maintenance Technician / Mechanical Engineer SALARY: Circa £47K DOE plus Van, Tools, Overtime, Phone, Laptop, Pension LOCATION: Based 50% in St Helens depot / 50% traveling to clients (working away 2/3 nights a weeks) weekend work also required. PREVIOUS ROLES: You may have been a Mechanical Engineer, Plant Fitter, Field Service Engineer, Maintenance Technician, Service Technician, Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer, Mechanical Technician ROLE: Mobile Maintenance Technician / Mechanical Engineer As a Mechanical Maintenance Technician you will undertake reactive and preventative maintenance (PPM) whilst undertaking reactive repair works Maintenance of large static capital plant equipment Strive to optimise equipment performance, utilisation and availability You will be required to apply a strong health and safety ethic throughout all maintenance, using the correct PPE at all times Required to undertake repairs to equipment including mechanical hydraulics, pneumatics, pumps valves etc. EXPERIENCE: Mobile Maintenance Technician / Mechanical Engineer Successful candidate will have completed a recognised mechanical engineering or general engineering apprenticeship or training (City and Guilds, NVQ, ONC, HNC, HND or Degree) or in a relevant discipline. Any Electrical experience a plus You will have experience working on large static capital plant equipment such as Balers, Compactors, Shredders, Pelletisers, Crushers, Screeners, Quarry Equipment, Production Equipment etc. Health and safety qualifications such as NEBOSH or IOSH beneficial but non-essential PREVIOUS ROLES: You may have been a Mechanical Engineer, Plant Fitter, Field Service Engineer, Maintenance Technician, Service Technician, Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer, Mechanical Technician
