Contract Site Engineer

About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Site Engineer to join our team for an exciting Earthworks Project. The ideal candidate will play a key role in managing and coordinating engineering aspects, ensuring accurate surveying, logging data, and supporting the smooth operation of earthworks on-site.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct topographic and volumetric surveys to support earthworks operations.
• Manage GPS and machine control systems to guide machinery and ensure precision in cut and fill activities.
• Log and record test data for earthworks, ensuring compliance with design specifications and quality standards.
• Assist with setting out and levelling for excavation and backfilling.
• Work closely with the site team, project managers, and subcontractors to ensure accurate execution of the design.
• Monitor and report progress, addressing any discrepancies in measurements or data collection.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety standards on-site.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Proven experience as a Site Engineer on earthworks projects.
• Strong knowledge of topographic surveys, volumetric surveys, and GPS machine control.
• Proficiency in using surveying equipment and software for data logging and analysis.
• Experience in logging and interpreting test data related to earthworks.
• A valid CSCS card.
• A degree or qualification in Civil Engineering or a related discipline (preferred).
• Having your own surveying kit is preferred, but not essential.
