Lead Control Systems Engineer Location: Leicester Overview: Our client, a leader in electrification systems, provides critical power and energy solutions for high-performance applications across energy, maritime, and industrial sectors. They are seeking a talented and experienced Lead Control Systems Engineer to join their Systems Engineering group. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain Drive Control Systems technology, including control algorithms and application software. Manage core Drive Control PCB hardware and FPGA configurations. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to specify, design, code, and validate control systems for MW-scale power electronic drive systems. Maintain effective engineering interfaces with sales teams, field engineers, and firmware development teams. Essential Requirements: MUST be a UK National Strong knowledge and experience in Variable Speed Drive Control Schemes. Proficiency in Control Systems Design (both linear and non-linear). Experience with C code programming and embedded software design. Familiarity with control system simulation tools such as MATLAB Simulink. Understanding of power electronics components (e.g., IGBTs, MOSFETs). Knowledge of electrical machines and suitable control strategies for power electronics. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field. Experience leading technical teams in software, hardware, or control engineering. Background in industries such as Marine, Energy, or Renewables. Experience with integrated control schemes involving PLCs and HMIs. Ready to Make an Impact?
