Senior Data Engineer London (Hybrid/Remote options available) £76,000 - £84,500 + Benefits About Our Client: We are working with an innovative product company based in the heart of London. They value creativity, collaboration, and the power of data to drive their next big leap forward. The Role: We are looking for a talented Data Engineer to join their growing team. You’ll play a crucial role in designing, building, and maintaining the data infrastructure that powers the product’s insights and analytics. Working closely with data scientists, product managers, and software engineers, you’ll ensure that their data pipelines are robust, scalable, and secure, enabling the team to make data-driven decisions. What You’ll Be Doing: Designing, building, and maintaining scalable ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) pipelines to process large volumes of data. Collaborating with data scientists to turn raw data into actionable insights that drive product decisions. Working with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP) to build and optimise data storage and processing solutions. Ensuring data quality and integrity across multiple sources, implementing best practices for data management. Supporting the team with data-related technical challenges and troubleshooting. Continuously improving the performance and efficiency of the data architecture. What We’re Looking For: Solid experience as a Data Engineer, with a strong background in Python or Scala. Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL). Hands-on experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform. Experience building and managing ETL pipelines and working with big data tools (e.g., Spark, Kafka). A collaborative mindset and a desire to work closely with cross-functional teams. A problem-solver who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is excited about making an impact. Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and tools (e.g., Redshift, BigQuery) is a plus.
