What you'll bedoing:

• Facilitating the Reactor Plant build and commissioningdelivery programme through innovative engineering solutions andproblem solving
• Ensuring themaintenance of Reactor Plant design intent during the build andcommissioningphases.
Supporting assessmentof plant designchanges Assessing plant buildmaturity for entry into subsequent buildphases Providing technicallysound challenges to existingrequirements Writing and presentingreports to communicate nuclear issues to a variety of internal andexternalstakeholders Liaison with MoDauthorities, Naval Authorities and assurance agencies as requiredto ensure the technical solution can be accepted against therequirements (by the customer) and certified by the necessary NavalAuthority Lead the assessmentand management of complex inter-domain or inter-function issuesidentified during the close out of the final design, through changeor throughbuild/commissioning

Yourskills and experiences:

Essential:

• Degree QualifiedEngineering/Physical Science discipline; Electrical, Mechanical,Nuclear, Materials, Chemistry,Physics
Knowledge of the nuclear industry and NuclearRegulations Previous exposure to EngineeringLifecycle Previous Nuclear plantexperience

Desirable:

• Proven technical report writingskills
• Presentationskills

The Platform Nuclear Engineering Department is a growingcapability to accommodate the growing Nuclear Engineering demand onthe business as the shipyard takes on an unprecedented challenge ofdelivering multiple classes of Naval Reactor Plant. The team coversactivities ranging from design safety assurance,engineering/technical problem solving to practical innovation andimprovement projects across the Engineering Lifecycle with a strongfocus on the Build and Commission of the reactor plant. There is ampleopportunity for professional development and career progression. Weoffer relocation support packages across all Submarines roles,subject to meeting eligibility criteria.
