This Assembly Integration & Test (AIT) vacancy presents an exciting opportunity for an ambitious individual to develop and grow their skills and knowledge within a thriving organisation. The job holder will be engaged in a wide variety of AIT test operations / activities covering all areas of testing, although specific experience in RF test activities and clean room experience are particularly sought after this role.
This is an ideal opportunity for early years engineering careers to move into a space delivery capability. This is an area of significant growth within Expleo, an area where we are looking at growing future team leads from within. Demonstrating our commitment to continue to grow our space business.
We are now looking for early years Test Operations Engineers to continue their career within AIT as part of a company expanding its internal space capability.
Responsibilities
Test Engineering:
Utilise procedures on PREX, Apriso or Paper as an input into the testing process Review and Update where required Payload technical documentation Review Test Aid & Harness definition files and use as an input into testing process Become familiar with customer EGSE documentation Be aware of COSHH and RA documentation that support the testing regime.Tasks: Using customer procedures, perform the following:
Installation, parameterization and validation of test means Installation and calibration of test set-up Test execution in accordance with customer procedures Support for first level troubleshooting on test benches and tools Call to technical support when the nominal sequence of test operations cannot be followed. Disconnection, removal and storage of test fixtures Filling and archiving of documentation, redline of procedures Backup of test results and measurement Procedures completed and filled IAW customer requirements Payload testing completeQualifications
HNC or HND in engineering/maintenance OR Apprenticeship in Aerospace/Space or other high quality production fieldDesired skills
Knowledge required
Experience working in a high quality production environment relating to electrical/RF test Experience working in a cleanroom environment including knowledge of FOD/ESD practices General knowledge of Space systems, electrical engineering, Power subsystem, validation and verificationBenefits
