Senior Designer- Facades- Hybrid Working

Kenna Recruitment are currently looking to speak with experienced Senior Designers for a principal contractor based in North London. The role will be specific to cladding & externals of residential buildings across the region. This role is based on a hybrid based from North London with 2 days working from home. Responsibilities: • Create drawings, using relevant specifications, where the businesses design is applicable. • Go to site and site office (3-4 days per week) and complete surveys, take photos in order to create design drawings. • Liaise with Design Manager, commercial and project manager to ensure design is within budget. • Update drawings based on accurate site surveyed information. Job Overview: • Creation, monitoring and revision of assigned drawings. • Liaison with manufacturers and project teams including distribution of relevant documentation. • Respond to technical queries and make recommendations to fix problems. • Respond to adhoc problems and raise with D&Q manager accordingly. • Undertake site inspections to monitor and manage technical quality of works and ensure they are carried out as per specifications and manufacturers’ recommendations. Key Tasks • Ensure information is available for site set up in line with their requirements, from job start to close. • As advised by D&Q manager, visit sites on a planned and adhoc basis. • Attend regular meetings with site teams, as required. • Create fabrication drawings and issue to buying department for procurement. • Collate relevant information for relevant standards to pass to client and funder as appropriate. • Make recommendations for changes, to D&Q manager
