Junior Firmware Engineer – Gloucestershire - £30,000 - £45,000 pa A leading electronics manufacturer are looking for a Junior Firmware Engineer to join their R&D team to develop leading security and defence technology. Responsibilities: Develop & implement real-time embedded firmware for ARM Microcontrollers & FPGA Systems Develop software for algorithm simulation and implementation Software test & verification FPGA SoC design & implementation Work in a multi-disciplined engineering team on hardware test & debugging Key Skills/Experience: 2:1 Degree in Electronics/Electrical Engineering or another relevant discipline Strong knowledge of Embedded Software/Firmware development (C/C++) Experience/Knowledge of VHDL Strong understanding of signal processing/algorithms Microcontrollers & Peripherals Any mix of the following is nice to have/non-essential: Software test & verification Xilinx FPGAs/Tool chains RTOS Embedded Linux Modelling languages (MATLAB) Benefits: Private medical insurance Pension Excellent support & training courses Group dental cover If you are interested in the position and think you have the skills required as a Junior Firmware Engineer, please don’t hesitate to apply.
